Code of Conduct
SOMOM is a space where everyone — patients, families and our team — is treated with dignity, care and respect. This code sets out what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you in return, so the clinic stays safe and welcoming for all.
What you can expect from us
- Care that is respectful, unhurried and free of judgement, whatever brings you in.
- Clear explanations, so you understand your assessment and your options.
- Consent at every step — nothing is done without your understanding and agreement, and you can pause or stop at any time.
- Privacy and confidentiality, handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
- A safe, inclusive environment, regardless of background, body, identity or circumstance.
What we ask of you
- Treat our team and other patients with courtesy and respect.
- Arrive on time, and give us notice if you need to cancel or reschedule (see our Cancellation Policy).
- Share the information we need to care for you safely and honestly.
- Let us know if anything about your care or your visit doesn’t feel right.
A respectful environment for everyone
We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, aggression or abusive behaviour toward our team or anyone else in the clinic. Where it occurs, we may end a visit or discontinue care, and we will always act to keep our people and our patients safe.
